ICC NTA, LLC hires Troy Bronstad, Senior Technical Team Leader at NTA’s fire testing lab in Bryan, TX. Mr. Bronstad’s 22+ years of expertise and experience in performing fire testing, evaluating test results, and writing reports are why he is an excellent choice to lead NTA’s technical team in TX.

 

Mr. Bronstad has extensive knowledge and has worked with all aspects of the testing process, including project management, construction of test assemblies, instrumenting test assemblies, evaluating test results, and writing reports for ASTM, NFPA, UL, and other nationally recognized test standards. His years of experience with Large-Scale Oxygen Depletion Calorimetry, Fire Resistance Testing, and the Intermediate Scale Multistory Test Apparatus gives NTA a great resource in their new Bryan fire lab facility.

Mr. Bronstad is an expert in testing products such as but not limited to Spray Foam Plastic Insulation. Test methods that require the use of the Large-Scale Oxygen Depletion Calorimetry, which he has experience in, are NFPA 286, NFPA 265, UL 1715, ISO 9705, CAN/ULC-9705-13, AC 377 Appendix X, Unvented Attic Tests, Alternative Fire Test Method for Attics and Crawl Spaces (AC 12), SwRI 99-02, and UBC 26-3. He has been involved in instrumenting, preparing samples, running furnace controls, and writing full reports on several Fire Resistant tests, including but not limited to ASTM E119, UL 263, ASTM E814, UL 1479, NFPA 275, UL 10(B), UL 10(C), ULC S-124, and ULC S101. Mr. Bronstad is also well versed with the Multistory Test Apparatus from his previous roles as technician, supervisor, and project manager for testing cladding systems for flame propagation and perimeter fire barriers for fire resistance. He has become an expert in multiple tests, including NFPA 285, ULC S134, and ASTM E2307.
