Eric Tompos, P.E., of NTA, Inc. achieves Master Code Professional Certification

NAPPANEE, INDIANA: Eric Tompos, Vice-President and Director of Compliance at NTA, Inc. has been awarded the Master Code Professional Certification by the International Code Council. The Master Code Professional (MCP) is the highest level of certification the Code Council offers. While thousands of code professionals are certified each year, only a small number (around 800) receive this distinction.

Master Code ProfessionalMaster Code Professionals are usually responsible for the technical and management aspects of code enforcement. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • management of a code enforcement department
  • supervision of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and elevator inspectors and support staff
  • performing or supervising the performance of building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical plan review
  • when necessary, inspecting or supervising inspection of structures for compliance with the International Codes® and referenced standards

Master Code Professional Eric Tompos received his B.S.C.E. from Purdue University in 1999, followed by his M.S.C.E. in 2000. He is licensed in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and parts of Canada. His expertise has been sought after by groups such as the IAS Technical Advisory Council.
