NTA Certifies GoBoard® by Johns Manville

NAPPANEE, INDIANA: GoBoard® by Johns Manville is the newest composite backer board to receive Certification from NTA, a leader in Product Evaluation and Certification. It has been tested to meet NTA IM035.3 SEP01, which specifies multiple test standards. Johns Manville is participating in an ongoing NTA certification program to show their commitment to quality and safety, both in their products and their facilities.
GoBoard weighs less than 8 pounds per 3-ft x 5-ft panel, and due to a core made of closed cell polyisocyanurate foam, it may be used as a waterproof barrier and does not crumble when cut. GoBoard thicknesses currently certified are in ¼-in. and ½-in. sizes, and may be used as an alternative non-structural substrate for ceramic tile or dimensional stone on interior floors, walls and ceilings in both wet and dry areas. Additionally, tests were performed to allow for its installation without a thermal or waterproof barrier.
