Howick, Ltd. Receives NTA Certification for Cold-Formed Steel Framing in the United States

NAPPANEE, INDIANA: NTA, Inc. has certified (Certification Report HOCK032015-80) that Howick, Ltd.’s Cold-Formed Load-Bearing and Nonload-Bearing Studs, Joists and Tracks meets the building code requirements set out in the IRC, IBC and the AISI S100 North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, as well as NTA’s own, strict Quality System Requirements and their Light Gauge and Cold-Formed Steel Structural Components program.

This certification covers steel framing in various thicknesses from 12 to 22 gauge. It also contains design values for deflection, or slip, track purposes. Specifiers, building officials, contractors, and others can use this certification to use or approve Howick, Ltd.’s products in construction projects in accordance with the specifications.
