Urban Industries Receives NTA Product Certification for their Snaplock Panels

NAPPANEE, IN: NTA is excited to announce a new product certification report for Urban Industries, Inc. The Ohio-based manufacturer completed an NTA Product Certification Program for their Snaplock Panels, an aluminum-faced structural insulated panel product. The certification report shows that that Snaplock Panels have been evaluated for structural roof applications and achieved a Class C roof classification. Now armed with their NTA certification report, Urban Industries is able to supply additional information and assurance about the Snaplock Panels to engineers, architects and home-owners.
“Urban Industries has chosen an interesting approach,” said Corey Nigh, a project engineer for NTA, “By obtaining a roof classification and completing some additional testing, they’ve avoided the need of a thermal barrier on the interior of their roof panel. That takes additional materials, and cost, out of the equation for designers and builders alike.”
