Park Model Certification

A Park Model (sometimes referred to as a Park Trailer) is specifically designed to fulfill temporary housing needs for consumers in recreational and seasonal settings, like camping. A favorite of traveling families and “snowbirds”, Park Models are used from winter climates to tropical zones. Even though they have wheels and are built on a single chassis, they must be able to withstand even the harshest of elements.

ANSI A119.5 and CAN/CSA Z241

ICC NTA, LLC certifies compliance of each unit to ANSI A119.5 standard. Since we are accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to certify products to CAN/CSA Z241, your next park trailer project can meet or exceed all appropriate standards and certifications, whether it is intended for use in the United States or Canada.

Recently, ANSI A119.5 was updated and includes a more complete definition of what a Park Model is, as well as testing and structural requirements. There are many other changes to be aware of in the 2015 version of the ANSI Standard that Park Model Manufacturers need to be aware of. An NTA Certification ensures you have access to certification account managers who are experts in the ANSI code. Our certification programs also offer you additional value-added benefits, like the ability to contact your account manager directly, and inspections by the most qualified inspectors. We are able to adapt to each manufacturer’s needs so that each client can participate in a Park Model Certification program that suits their unique marketing goals.
