NTA President Appointed Vice Chairperson of the MHCC

NAPPANEE, INDIANA: David Tompos, NTA President, Inc., has recently been appointed to serve as the Vice Chairperson of the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC). The Vice Chairperson serves at the pleasure of the Secretary who places a high level of confidence in Mr. Tompos, stating, “your ability to work with all parties provides you with the knowledge and skills to assist the MHCC in reaching its goals for the coming years.”

Mr. Tompos has served on the MHCC since 2010 . He also serves as chairman of the structure and design subcommittee. Since his appointment on the committee he has championed several revisions that have been sent to HUD for their consideration. These include but are not limited to fire safety preemption, ventilation improvements and several reference standard updates.

The Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) is a Federal Advisory Committee body that provides recommendations to the Secretary after close study of HUD’s manufactured home construction and safety standards and related procedural and enforcement regulations.
