The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Federal agency responsible for national policy and programs that address America’s housing needs. HUD partners with independent, third-party testing and inspection agencies to certify-factory built structures. These third-party agencies must test according to HUD code standards, as stated in Title 24: Housing and Urban Development, Part 3280. Section 3280.401 deals specifically with structural assembly load tests and the exact conditions under which the assembly tests must be performed. NTA is approved by HUD to perform the Proof Load test and the Ultimate Load test to determine if your assembly is compliant with current codes.
NTA is approved by the Federal government not only to perform HUD specific tests (such as the Ultimate Load or Proof Load) but to certify plants for HUD on their ENERGY STAR® qualifications, to complete in-plant inspections, and to perform quality audits. NTA ensures that our clients meet or exceed HUD manufactured home construction Federal regulations and safety standards.

NTA’s accreditation allows us to work within HUD guidelines to build a certification or inspection program to suit your needs and provide proof of code compliance. This flexibility brings advantages you won’t find with other programs.
