Please find the notification below as received from NEMA. The City of Tucson adopted the 2018 International (I) Codes as well as the 2017 National Electrical Code, at the October 9, 2018, public hearing. Tucson is currently on the 2012 I-codes and the 2011 NEC, so they are skipping the 2015 I-codes and 2014 NEC and are adopting the most current editions. The new codes will be effective in Tucson on January 1, 2019. Please note, this is not applicable to Factory-Built Buildings. Communication with the Arizona Department of Housing indicated as of this date, the individuals responsible for the Factory Built Buildings program have not been made aware of any plans to adopt new codes
