On July 15, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved ordinances to adopt the following national codes and local amendments thereto:
2024 International Building Code
2024 International Residential Code
2024 International Existing Building Code
2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code
2023 National Electrical Code
2024 Uniform Plumbing Code
2024 Uniform Mechanical Code
2024 International Energy Conservation Code
All the above listed codes will have an effective date of January 11, 2026. The ordinances and codes are available at: https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/government/departments/building___fire_prevention/.
For projects to be reviewed under 2018 codes, the permit application must be submitted to the Clark County Building Department on or before January 10, 2026. This application deadline applies to all application types.
Permit applications for all new projects, including new Residential Standard Plans, submitted on or after January 11, 2026, must be designed in accordance with the newly adopted codes listed above.
