Louisiana to Adopt 2024 I-Codes

The state of Louisiana has adopted the 2024 I-Codes. The new codes will be effective January 1st, 2027.

The adopted codes are as follows:

• International Building Code (IBC), 2024 edition w/ Amendments
• International Residential Code (IRC) w/ Amendments
• International Mechanical Code (IMC), 2024 edition w/ Amendments
• International Plumbing Code (IPC), 2024 edition w/ Amendments
• International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), 2024 edition w/ Amendments
• International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), 2024 edition w/ Amendments
• National Electrical Code (NEC), 2023 edition, available from the National Fire Protection Association w/ Amendments
