As received from the Maryland Division of Labor and Industry:
Please be advised that roof design live load and ground snow load for bldgs to be installed in Howard County, Maryland, should comply w/ the following requirements:
(1) For general County code information, see CB13-2019
(2) The roof design live load should be 40 psf; but 30 psf could be used for flat roof up to 2%.
(3) The ground snow load should be 40 psf.
Manufacturers should revise their design based on these requirements as soon as possible. A grace period is being offered until the end of October 2020. Beginning November 01, 2020 all plans will be approved by the Dept only based on these requirements.
