Michigan Notice to Premanufactures and Inspection Agency

Please find the following notice as received by Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). The State of Michigan’s new code cycle for commercial structures has gone into effect on January 4, 2019. No structure shall be approved or labeled on previous code cycles plan reviews as of the effective date. Exception: Any premanufactured unit signed under contract before the code cycle effective date will be allowed to be constructed under the code in the effect on that date. Such structures are required to be constructed within 90 calendar days of the signed contract date. Any project delayed beyond the 90 days will have to be constructed under the new code cycle.
