Minnesota Adoption of the 2018 International Residential Code

Chapter 1309, Minnesota Residential Code

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry intends to adopt permanent rules governing the adoption of the 2018 edition of the International Residential Code, Minnesota Rules, chapter 1309.

The following document related to this rulemaking will be published in the Sept. 16, 2019, edition of the State Register:

  • Dual Notice: Notice of Intent to Adopt Rules Without a Public Hearing Unless 25 or More Persons Request a Hearing, and Notice of Hearing if 25 or More Requests for Hearing Are Received.

The Dual Notice provides details about the hearing and cancellation of the hearing.

The Dual Notice, proposed rules and Statement of Need and Reasonableness, along with other information about the status of the rulemaking, are available in the rulemaking docket.

The comment period for this rulemaking ends at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.
