The Department of Community Affairs has adopted eight new mandatory State Minimum Standard Codes with new Georgia State Amendments which will become effective on January 1, 2020. The new codes and amendments are as follows:
Mandatory State Codes:
2018 International Building Code with Georgia Amendments
2018 International Residential Code with Georgia Amendments
2015 International Energy Conservation Code with Georgia Amendments
2018 International Mechanical Code with Georgia Amendments
2018 International Plumbing Code with Georgia Amendments
2018 International Fuel Gas Code with Georgia Amendments
2018 International Fire Code with no Amendments
2018 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code with Georgia Amendments
The new Georgia State Construction Codes and Amendments will become effective on January 1, 2020. Copies of the 2020 Georgia State Amendments are available on DCA’s webpage at:
