HB 1681 was signed into law on July 1, 2022, which updated the state building codes. The bill was effective immediately upon signing. There is a six-month grace period (July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022) for building permits to allow projects in the queue to follow the 2015 or 2018 ICC codes.
