On Monday, July 1, 2019, the Department of State filed a Notice of Emergency Adoption and Proposed Rule Making that amends the State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (the “Uniform Code”) by adding provisions relating to the installation, use, and maintenance of Energy Storage Systems. Adoption of this regulation as an emergency rule makes it effective immediately upon filing (July 1, 2019).
By filing the Notice of Emergency Adoption and Proposed Rule Making, the Department of State has adopted the rule on an emergency basis at the same time that the Department of State initiates the proposal process.
