At its meeting on December 14, 2018, the Board of Building Standards adopted the update to the Residential Code of Ohio based on 2018 International Residential Code effective July 1, 2019. Additionally, the Board adopted amendments to the Certification rules effective April 1, 2019. The final adopted rules with detailed summaries can be found at the links provided in the notification:
At Board meeting on December 14, 2018, the Board of Building Standards adopted the update to the Residential Code of Ohio based on 2018 International Residential Code effective July 1, 2019. Additionally, the Board adopted amendments to the Certification rules effective April 1, 2019. The Board initiated the rule change process in July 2018 and the rules have been available in draft form on the Board’s website.
