The following code alert as received from NEMA. The Ohio Board of Building Standards (OBBS) received a request to update the edition of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) referenced in the Ohio Building Code from the 2017 to the 2020 edition. Prior to consideration, the Board directed staff to conduct a stakeholder meeting and education forum on the changes included in the 2020 edition and their potential impact if adopted. Comments and input from stakeholders impacted by the changes will be recorded and considered by the Board’s Code Committee. A Stakeholder Meeting and Education Forum on the 2020 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) will be held on March 9, 2020, all interested stakeholders are invited to attend.
