Please find the following code update as received from NEMA. The Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Advisory Board held a meeting on January 8, 2020, where they unanimously voted to approve proposed amendments to Section 73.100 of the Texas Administrative Code updating the mandatory state electrical code to the 2020 edition of the NEC with an effective date of September 1, 2020. The revised Rule will be published in the next issue of the Texas Register opening a 30-day public comment period. These comments will be shared with the Board at their next meeting on May 27, 2020.
