Manufactured Buildings Product will need to conform with the new Amendments to 527 CMR 12.00 (Massachusetts Electrical Code based on the 2023 edition of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code) requirements. All Plans will need to adhere to the new Electrical Code changes. Moving forward, Manufactured Buildings Product design must meet the new 2023 Edition of the Massachusetts Electrical Code requirements.
Plans with an approved BBRS Plan Identification Number Assigned by the Office that was issued prior to February 17, 2023 will still be valid ONLY IF an Electrical permit is obtained by the Licensed Electrician from the local municipality Inspector of Wires before February 17, 2023. Therefore, any approved plans will not be valid AFTER February 17, 2023 if an Electrical permit has not been secured by the Licensed Electrician, the approved plan will need to be sent back to the Office for a revision to comply with the 2023 Massachusetts Electrical Code.
