Utah Adopts New I-Codes

June 18, 2026

The state of Utah has adopted the 2024 I-Codes with the exception of the following:

  • International Residential Code (IRC) will remain 2021
  • International Wildland-Urban Interface Code will remain the 2006 until January 1st, 2027.

The effective date of the 2024 codes will be July 1st, 2026. No grace period.
