Pennsylvania DCED Industrialized Buildings Program UPDATE

Please note the following for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PA DCED will be implementing their Industrialized Commercial Program under the Industrialized Housing Act as amended in November 2016. At this time they do not have a “start date” however, PA DCED believes it will be before the end of this calendar year. (Read More..)

PA Industrialized Housing 2018 Code Adoption

As you may be aware the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code is adopting the 2018 ICC Codes (2017 NEC) on February 14, 2022. As with previous code changes, PA DCED gave a six-month period in order for manufacturers of industrialized housing to transition to the new codes and will do the same this time.

Georgia Amendments to the 2020 National Electrical Code

North Carolina 2020 Electrical Code will become effective on October 1, 2021

Georgia State Codes and Amendments, Effective January 1, 2021

Virginia – Final regulations for the 2018 code change cycle

The Virginia Board of Housing and Community Development approved the final regulations for the 2018 code change cycle at their meeting on December 14, 2020. The 2018 Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC), Statewide Fire Prevention Code (SFPC), Industrialized Building Safety Regulations (IBSR), and Amusement Device Regulations (VADR) will go into effect on July 1, 2021. These regulations include the adoption of the 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). Please also note that the “grace period” for construction under the 2018 codes will last one (1) year, or until June 30, 2022. The confirmed effective date, state amendment information, and other details of the 2018 Virginia Codes have been published in Volume 37, Issue 14 of the Virginia Register.
