At its July 14, 2020 meeting, the Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS) approved the filing of an emergency regulation to extend the concurrency period of the updated energy code based on the 2018 International Energy Conservation Code as amended (Energy Code) from August 7, 2020 to November 7, 2020. Colorado State Electrical Board has updated Rule 1.2

The Colorado State Electrical Board has updated Rule 1.2 in their Code of Regulations which includes the adoption of the 2020 National Electrical Code without amendment and will become effective on August 1, 2020. A copy of the permanently adopted rule can be found in the notification. Washington – 2020 National Electrical Code Adopted

The State of Washington, Department of Labor and Industry, has completed its technical and administrative reviews of the 2020 National Electrical Code. This newest edition of the NEC was adopted with minimal amendments and will become effective on November 1, 2020.
